Curriculum

Week of May 16-

Math:  In math this week, we are continuing to work on geometry.  We are looking at 3-D figures (sphere, cylinder, cone, pyramid...) and seeing if we notice any of these shapes in our everyday life as well.

Science We are continuing our unit on animal life cycles.  We are discussing a ladybug, mealworm, and frog's life cycle and comparing it to a butterfly's.  We are enjoying experiencing the life cycle of a butterfly first hand in our classroom.

Reading: In reading we are continuing to work on reader's theater.  We are trying to focus on expression and fluency when reading.

Writing: In writing this month we are using authors as mentors and writing personal naratives.
